Wrapping it up for February!

Hello, my darling readers!
Another month is over, so let me give you a little summary of the amazing posts just to make sure you didn’t miss anything. 😉

This month was dedicated to TV shows. There are plenty of new seasons I had to catch up on:

As per usual we have the Top 5 Tuesday and Thursday Movie Pick posts! For February, TMP has a special romance theme.

And last but not least some of my favorite quotes to brighten your day:

TMP Television Edition: Globetrotting (Scripted, Non-reality, Non-travel, Non-docu series)

Hey, guys!
Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme.
It’s the last Thursday of the month, that means today we’re talking about TV shows instead of films! The topic, globetrotting, was really difficult for me. Here you have some TV shows that give me serious wanderlust!

#1 The Crown

It’s been a while since I’ve been to the UK, but watching The Crown always makes me want to go back. There are so many beautiful landscapes to see, Scotland, Wales, etc. In addition we visit many of GB’s over-sea territories, which are nothing short of stunning.

#2 Narcos

I’ve never been to South or Central America but Narcos really makes me want to go!

TMP Television Edition: Romance

Hey, guys!
Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme.
Today we have a TV show special with romance as the topic!

#1 Skam France

This is a pretty tough topic for me because I’m not a big fan of romance. I have yet to see Skam France but I saw so many quotes and images on tumblr, and it looks brilliant.

#2 Lucifer

While Lucifer is not the first thing you’d think of for romance TV shows, it does feature of my favorite ships: Deckerstar which is Lucifer and Chloe.

TMP Television Edition: Non-English

Hey, guys!
Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies -or in today’s case TV shows- that fit the theme.
This week I’ll share some non-English TV shows with you!

#1 Braunschlag:

Braunschlag might be my favorite Austrian show of all time. It’s about the mayor of a small town who comes up with a more or less elaborate scheme to bring his town wealth. It’s absolutely hilarious!

#2 La Mante:

I found this French show on Netflix and was quite excited because I wanted to improve my language skills. It’s a fascinating thriller that will set you on edge. So if you have a thing for crime, check it out!

Top 4 TV Shows that feature Magic

Hey guys!
I haven’t written a list in ages, so it’s definitely time to tackle a new subject. Todays post will be about my favourite TV shows that involve magic!

#4 – The Worst Witch:

I have only a faint memory of this one, but I really loved it when I was a kid. The best way to describe this show is as a funny version of Harry Potter with a female Neville in the leading role. Mildred Hubble is a young witch who attends a magic school. But – you guess it – she’s having quite a lot of trouble!
While doing research for this post I  found out that a re-boot of The Worst Witch aired this year, Bella Ramsay is starring as Mildred (you might know her as Lyanna Mormont). I need to check it out asap! Continue reading

5 Great TV Shows with terrible Endings

Hey Guys!
Today it’s time for another list, because who doesn’t love a great list? 😉
Many amazing TV shows end absolutely terribly and it enrages me every time. I’m sure you all know the feeling when one of your favourites is absolutely ruined!

Dexter:
This one really made me angry. The show started out thrilling, smart and funny but from season 6 on it went downhill. To be honest every single episode seemed to annoy me but the final season was the worst. Every character suddenly did things very unlikely for them, the plot was weak. They should have stopped after season 5!

How I Met Your Mother:
I know many fans feel me when I say the season finale broke my heart. We spent so many season waiting to finally meet the mother. So when the last season actually covered only a few days, I was already irritated. I had hoped the mother would get some screen-time!
But hey, I thought at least the finale will be dashing. Well, I was wrong. The mother appeared for about 5 minutes and that was it. What happened afterwards was just a cheap way out, unoriginal and way to easy. Another point that annoyed me was the character development. While all of them had come so far within the last years, it all seemed blown away in the end. Everything was just like it was at the beginning. (However, there is an alternative fan ending, that’s way better!) Continue reading
