Top 5 Tuesday: books with numbers in the title

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Let’s talk about some books with numbers in their titles today!

#1 NOS4A2

This was the first book I read in 2022. In case you don’t know, Joe Hill is Stephen King’s son and also an extremely gifted horror writer. NOS4A2 is such a smart and fascinating novel!

#2 Eight Will Fall

I really enjoyed this one even though if towards the end it was a bit underwhelming. If I recall correctly, this was initially meant to be a duology but then ended up only being one novel. Thus, we ended with a rushed ending that would have deserved more time to unfold.

Hey, guys!

For today, we’re looking at some books with one-word titles!

#1 Havenfall

Would you please look at the cover. Is it not gorgeous? I burned through this book, it was actually a pretty fast read. Havenfall was amazing all around but I wasn’t too impressed by the second part of the duology, to be honest.

#2 Shielded

I’m not gonna lie, I don’t really remember much about Shielded. Which is actually pretty bad because I still need to read the second part. I’m pretty sure that I enjoyed it though!

For today’s post, we’re going to look at some rather short books!

#1 Kindred Spirits (96 pages)

This was such a cute read. To be honest, I don’t remember all that much about it, but I definitely enjoyed it.

#2 A Christmas Carol (104 pages)

I think I’ve seen, read, heard this story in more than 10 different versions by now. The original one, the book will always be my favorite though. It’s a classic – and one that you can read super quickly!

Top 5 Tuesday: thicc books

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This week, we’ll discuss some very, very long books! (Make sure to come back next week for super short books!)

#1 It (1116 pages)

When you think of thicc novels, Stephen King is certainly one of the first names that springs to mind. I read several of his books, but I’m pretty sure this one was the longest.

#2 A Dance with Dragons (1125 pages)

Ah, George R. R. Martin. Another man who is famous for penning very chonky books!

Top 5 Tuesday: first kisses

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This week, we are tackling some literary first kisses. I actually had a hard time with the theme. I usually get annoyed with romance, so I tend to not remember any of this. Suffice to this, a serious amount of googling went into compiling this list. 😅

#1 A Court of Thorns and Roses

” ‘I’m thinking I might kiss you.’ he said quietly, intently.

‘Then do it,’ I blushed at my own boldness. But Tamlin only gave that breathy laugh, and leaned in. His lips brushed mine-testing, soft and warm. He pulled back a little. He was still staring at me, and I stared right back as he kissed me again, harder, but nothing like the way he’d kissed my neck. He withdrew more fully this time and watched me.

‘That’s it?’ I demanded, and he laughed and kissed me fiercely.”

#2 The Cruel Prince – Jude and Cardan

“I don’t have a lot of experience with kisses. There was Locke, and before him, no one. But kissing Locke never felt the way that kissing Cardan does, like taking a dare to run over knives, like an adrenaline strike of lightning, like the moment when you’ve swum too far out in the sea and there is no going back, only cold black water closing over your head.”

Top 5 Tuesday: series I will finish in 2023

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
For the last T5T post of January, we will talk about some book series, that I plan on finishing this year. *fingers crossed*

#1 Kindom of the Wicked

I read the first book in this series a while ago when I received it in a book subscription box. However, at that time, only book #1 had been released. I completely lost track of when the other installments would drop, which means that at least now I can go and read book #2 and #3 back to back and finish the series without having to wait again.

#2 Wheel of Time

I’m actually really sad about how long it’s taking me to finish Wheel of Time. In fact, I started with the first book in January of last year but there are so many books (15 in total if you include the prequel) and all of them are rather long. I’m determined to finish it this year though.
