Today, we’ll get into some authors I want to try. There are many writers that I encountered while reading other people’s T5T posts. So, this will probably be a list of books and authors, everybody except for me has already read. 😅

#1 Stephanie Garber

I’ve heard so many intriguing things about the Caraval series and it’s been on my tbr-pile for a while. Although I read something slightly similar by a different author (and ended up rather disappointed), I’m still curious and want to give her a shot!

#2 Tamsyn Muir

Although I’ve seen Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir pop up again and again, I hadn’t been aware that it’s part of a series. Her work seems fascinating to me, so I hope I’ll have the time to pick up one of her books soon!

For today I’ll bring you some (hopefully) amazing books I want to read this year. The last one is a recommendation from a dear friend, the other four are from book subscription boxes. In my bookish resolution post I already mentioned that I want to catch up both on friend recs and the novels from book boxes that keep piling up because I constantly get sidetracked by other stuff. 🙈

#1 The Merciful Crow

By now a few books from subscription boxes like Fairyloot and Illumicrated have piled up. I was so busy with other things that I didn’t have the time to read most of them. However, I really want to get started with them, as all of those books look absolutely gorgeous and the stores sound fascinating.
Therefore, my first pick is Ther Merciful Crow. Just look at that cover!

#2 Serpent and Dove

The same goes for Serpent and Dove. I love the books from subscription boxes so much because they always come as complete surprises to me. Usually, I’ve never heard of the author and I don’t look up the reviews on Goodreads once I know what the book of the month will be. I got Serpent and Dove only recently, but I know that it’s about witches so I’m sure I’ll love it.
