Hey, guys! Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks. It’s a series hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme. Today’s topic is favorite cinematography, so let’s get talking!
#1 Sweeney Todd
Tim Burton has a very unique way of putting his films together. Sweeney Todd is a brilliant example for his still and I love everything about it.
#2 Kill Bill
The same goes for Quentin Tarantino. I actually had a hard time choosing just one of his pictures but Kill Bill just comes with brilliant cinematography.
Hello, hello, hello!
To kick off another great weekend, I want to talk a bit about my Top 5 musical movies. A few days ago you already got 10 to 6. Here’s the rest, let me know what you think about it in the comments!
#5 – Cry-Baby:
Two words: Johnny Depp. Although he does get some minus points for not singing himself. (He is pretty good at that, you’ll see a bit further down the post) This movie that is actually a bit like Grease – a good girl and a bad boy – is so much fun. I love the songs they chose, they simply match perfectly with the whole vibe of the film. If you haven’t seen Cry-Baby yet, do so now! You won’t regret it!
Yesterday I heard the news that Alan Rickman one of the greatest actors of our time passed away. There are so many of his films that had a huge influence on me and I am beyond sad.
In his honor I want to present you all my favourite Alan Rickman movies.
This movie is just hilarious. Alan Rickman plays the Metatron, the voice of God. He sort of guides the last person related to Jesus Christ on her crusade to save world, as two fallen angels try to sneak their way back into heaven. This movie is not only funny and stuffed to the top with great actors, I also love that you can see how much time Kevin Smith spent exploring Catholicism to make everything accurate.
Today my list topic strays from the usual TV sector and goes right down to movies. Here are my favourite TV couples! I hope you enjoy it, let me know in the comments below which pairing you would have picked! 🙂
6. George and Mary Bailey (It’s a wonderful Life):
Has there ever been a cuter couple? Whenever George struggles, Mary is there to support him. They are a perfect match and stick together throughout every kind of problems.
