Sherlock: Seasons 1 to 4 – A Review

Hello, my darling readers!
You know what they say: better late than never!
I finally binged all four Sherlock seasons, so I want to share a few quick thoughts I have about them.

The Plot:

You know the drill: Sherlock Holmes (a dash eccentric), Dr. Watson and a load of crimes to be solved!

The Rating:

Why did I wait so long with this?!
I absolutely loved it. Benedict Cumberbatch’s take on Sherlock is amazing and although most people would call him antisocial, I find him to be very relatable. In the first episode we get the following exchange:

Sherlock Holmes:
Shut up.
DI Lestrade:

Sherlock Holmes:

Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme.

3 Thoughts on Sherlock Season 1

Hey Guys!
This post is another installment in my “better late than never” series. People have been swooning about Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes for years now but I never had the time or the interest to check in with the show.
However, I finally changed my mind – and I’m glad I did!

Thought #1 – The Books:
So far I’ve only seen the first season but I can already tell that this show is great. I love how the original stories made the transition in today’s world. Although only loosely based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s books, you can still see where it came from. I’m 100% inspired to check out the novels now! Continue reading
