Hello, my darling readers! Netflix released the 7th and final season of Orange Is the New Black. After season 6 I was a bit disappointed any wary of what is to come. So let’s see if we got a worthy ending here!
Who said that life after prison was easy? Piper is trying and despite being rather privileged she struggles. Meanwhile, things in prison aren’t swell either. Especially when some of the girls find out what an immigration detention center is like…
Just when I thought OITNB had lost its groove and I’m glad for it to be over, the hit me with this season. Right in the feels.
This final season was extremely emotional. Especially the scenes related to the detention center were so intense. If you know that Diana Guerrero’s (who plays Maritza) entire family was deported to Colombia this whole thing becomes even more real and chilling. It’s not only the familiar characters that find themselves in the detention center but also some new additions with stories that will bring tears to your eyes.
I neglected to give my two cents on the last season of American Horror Story which was titled Cult. It took me a while to get my thoughts in order on that one, so let’s see about it before season 8 starts this fall!
Ally is very distraught by the results of the 2016 presidential election which was won by Donald Trump. Several of her long-standing phobias seem to be taking over and Ally fears she’s losing her mind. But is it really her imagination? Or is somebody targeting her?
This season was weird. I mean, all AHS seasons are weird, but with this one it took me some time to get pulled in.
Not everything about this season made sense. But apart from that, my problem was that things were pictured to be very black and white. It started out very promising but seemed to be going in many different directions, some of them featuring plot holes and not coming together all that well. Continue reading →
As all Game of Thrones fans out there know, we’ll have to wait another year before we finally get to see season 8. So in the meantime I decided to re-watch the other 7 seasons and do my long overdue review on the last one!
Winter is coming and it’s getting closer. Daenerys finally made it to Westeros, so we get to see who she teams up with. Meanwhile Cersei has taken control over Kingslanding and crowned herself Queen. In the North, John still knows nothing but has a hard time fending off the White Walkers and the Night King…
Ever since the show surpassed the books written by George R. R. Martin, I noticed a slight deterioration.
Those of you who read the novels know that many of the conversation were featured almost word by word in the show. Martin took (and still takes) a long time to come up with this intricate world and made sure everything is close to perfect. However, the show runners didn’t seem to tell the story as detailed and definitely weren’t taking as much time. Continue reading →
Today I want to talk about one of my favourite animated TV shows: Bob’s Burgers. To celebrate the season finale, which will air soon, I’ll share my thoughts on this season!
Thought #1 – The Episode Titles:
This time, they really excelled themselves! Many of the episode titles are parodies of famous movies. Some of those gems are: Large Brother, Where Fart Thou?, The Last Gingerbreadhouse on the Left, The Grand Mama-Pest Hotel and many more.
To be honest, I was almost more excited to find out the newest episode title, than hear what the episode is actually about. I simply adore these titles and it once more shows with how much love for details Bob’s Burgers is made. Continue reading →
