I just realized that I have so far completely neglected to write a review on season 5 of Orphan Black. It was the final season of this phenomenal show and aired in 2017. So let’s see whether it was a worthy end!
Cosima finds herself on a weird island, run by the ominous PT Westmoreland. Is that man really immortal? But far more important: what is he up to?
But Cosima isn’t the only one facing difficulties. Helena is pregnant and it gets harder to protect her unborn babies from Dyad.
In the mean time Sarah and Rachel battle over Kyra, the former trying to protect her, while the latter wants to use the girl for experiments.
But the big fight is yet to come…
They certainly ended the show not with a fizzle but with a bang.
The plot was beyond intriguing. It was impossible to figure out what would happen next or even predict the ending. In this season, a few things felt a bit far-fetched, but I’m more than prepared to overlook that little flaw. The atmosphere is giving you goosebumps, you will be holding your breath many times throughout this season. With every episode I was even more impressed by the writers to come up with something this intricate. Continue reading
It’s time for another list! Today I want to talk about my all-time favourite couples in TV shows. There are tons to choose from, it definitely wasn’t easy picking just 5!
So halfway through writing this post, I decided that there just has to be a part 2. To be continued 😉
#5 Cosima and Delphine (Orphan Black):
First of all it still is kind of ground breaking to have an openly lesbian couple in a TV show. I just loved how nobody shrugged a shoulder about it! Another point about this relationship that I find inspiring is how the two match perfectly also in science. They are super smart and together than can basically do anything!
Well, Season 4 of the fascinating story of clones concluded a few weeks ago and finally I found the time to catch up! I was pretty excited about this but did it really fulfill my expectations?
Thought #1 – The Clones:
It’s just super impressive, when they introduce some new clone-characters and Tatiana Maslany gets to show off her acting skills. Portraying one character convincingly is hard enough but Maslany pulls off so many different characters at once I have no idea how she does that.
I just love how versatile the clones are. You never know what to expect next! Continue reading
Welcome to another round of my spiced up Tags!
There are so many book Tags floating around I decided to do them for movies and TV shows instead. So today I bring you the BFF TV Series Tag!
1. Setting the example: a pair/group of bff’s that you love?
Finn and Jake from Adventure Time! There simply the best BFFs I ever laid eyes on. So much fun, yet always there for each other no matter what.
2. Childhood bestie: which character would you have like to grow up with?
Louise Belcher! This girl is my spirit animal. What would be better than growing up with the most bad-ass kid in town?
3. Frenemy: which movie character would bring out your competitive side?
Arya from Game of Thrones. I love her character but I’m sure we would always try to beat each other be it in sword fighting or anything else. We’d be too much alike. Continue reading
Hello, hello, hello!
Winter is almost over and we almost reached the point where many awesome TV shows return for another season. This spring we have a bunch of great stuff to expect. Read on to find out which new season I can’t wait for to begin!
#1 The most obvious: Game of Thrones Season 6!
Those who read my blog more regularly will know by now that I’m a GOT fan. What excites me so much about this season is that from here on the TV show is further along in the story than the books. Although the last season offered some bits there were completely different from in George R. R. Martin’s novels, I have no idea what to expect and what to prepare for. There’s only one thing I know: It will be epic.
Can we please start already so I can go and rip my heart out because of my favourite characters most likely dying again?
During the last few days I spent my time thinking about something new I could come up with. Well, I’ve seen many amazing book tags floating around and often ended up thinking “hey, I would be so much fun to do this with movies or TV shows!”.
So, what I plan to today is a series of adapted tags! Beside my regular posts you will see some book, movie and TV shows tags on my blog. I’d love my readers to pick up those tag and answer the questions themselves!
The first one I’m about to adapt is the Friends tag. Ironically I’ve never seen the show!
So here we go =)
The One where Eddie Won’t Go – a character I wish would just go away:
This answer might surprise you. The one character that really annoyed me is Aleksandr Petrovsky from Sex and the City. I’ve never been that fond of the show altogether but stumbled upon the finally a few weeks ago on TV. I watched the last three episodes and kept thinking, why on earth is Carrie doing that. That guy is just self-centered, ignorant and arrogant from head to toe, and doesn’t give a damn about her. Aleksandr, please just fuck off.
