Top 5 TV Show Couples

Hey Guys!
It’s time for another list! Today I want to talk about my all-time favourite couples in TV shows. There are tons to choose from, it definitely wasn’t easy picking just 5!
So halfway through writing this post, I decided that there just has to be a part 2. To be continued 😉

#5 Cosima and Delphine (Orphan Black):
First of all it still is kind of ground breaking to have an openly lesbian couple in a TV show. I just loved how nobody shrugged a shoulder about it! Another point about this relationship that I find inspiring is how the two match perfectly also in science. They are super smart and together than can basically do anything!

Top 3 Claire Danes Movies

Hey Guys!
It’s time for another post to honor my favourite actresses!
Today’s shout out goes to Claire Danes, who delivered many great performances!

#3 – Stardust:
I already did an entire post on this film (click here). Claire Danes’ did a perfect job bringing the character Yvaine to life. I usually have second thoughts when a book gets turned into a movie. However, with Stardust I even liked the film better. Claire Danes’ star sparkles far brighter than the written one!

The Coffee TV Show Tag

Hello folks!

Today I want to share another (by now pretty widespread) tag that I changed a bit. I saw the coffee tag circulating but dealing with books, so I decided to spice it up a bit and write about TV shows instead!

A series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.

I’ll go with American Horror Story. When you watch it for the first time the show seems really weird but once you get into it there’s no way back. Moreover, this applies to basically every season of AHS. As it is an anthology ever season is completely different so you have to start all over again each year.

A series that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.

Doctor Who! The Christmas Specials are so popular, I once read that the viewing rate is far higher than for the regular episodes. Although I really like the show in general, the Christmas special are beyond awesome! Continue reading

Top 5 Christmas Episodes in TV Shows

Last week I presented a list of my favourite animated TV show christmas episodes. Today I want to share my most beloved real-life christmas special. Prepare yourself for being showered in holiday spirit!

Doctor Who – A Christmas Carol (S6E0 – Christmas Special):

Doctor Who is legendary for its Christmas specials. Among a bunch of great episodes, A Christmas Carol is my favourite. The Doctor becomes the ghost of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet To Come. This episode is heart-warming. A special touch is added by the Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins who gives an outstanding performance with a song that guarantees goosebumps.

My Top 5 Halloween Episodes

It’s Halloween!!! What a great occasion to honor all the amazing TV show specials for Halloween we got to watch throughout the years. Here are my 5 most beloved episodes:

My so-called Life – Halloween (S1E9):
MSCL is one of the best TV shows about teenagers ever. Although it only lasted for one season they managed to capture the very feeling of being young. One of my favourite episodes is “Halloween”. Our protagonists decide to break into school as there is some Halloween myth about a guy who died. What I love about this one is that is seems pretty realistic yet somehow special. The breaking in, what happens after, etc. it’s not like other shows when the story goes completely nuts. “Halloween” is a charming little episode you’ll love! Continue reading

Top 7 Underrated TV Shows

There’s a bunch of TV shows I really like but I feel like they don’t get the credit they deserve. So here’s a big shout-up to my favourite underrated shows!

1. Pushing Daisies:
I loved this shows. It was so lovely, colorful but yet dorky and different. It was a bit weird, I guess that’s why I liked it so much. The show about a pie baker who discovers that he can revive dead people would have deserved far more than just two seasons!

2. Archer: Continue reading
