#1 50 First Dates

This is a movie full of meet cutes! As the Drew Barrymore suffers from amnesia in this flick, so she constantly forgets about meeting Adam Sandler who is head over heels for her.

#2 Love Actually

Love Actually features several adorable couples that meet for the first time. All of them could easily be named right here, but I think my favorite is the one of the couple who met at a porn shoot. It’s hilarious and just the cutest at the same time.

I’m not a fan of Romantic Comedies but there are a few I really enjoyed. So let’s see which films I picked!

#1 Love Actually

Not a single Christmas goes by where I don’t watch this super cute movie. Especially the plot around little Sam always melts my heart.
I love that it features so many mini-stories – there’s something to like for everybody. Some I don’t fancy too much, some are just brilliant!

#2 10 Things I Hate About You

I have to admit, I can lipsync this whole film. While Heath Ledger is enough to watch it, I enjoyed for a different reason. Kat Stratford and I are rather alike. Her sarcasm, her no bullshit-attitude. She’s one of my all-time favorite female characters. Furthermore, 10 Things I Hate About You is a Shakespeare retelling and has a great soundtrack, so what’s there not to like?

A Tribute to Alan Rickman: My 5 Favourite Films

Yesterday I heard the news that Alan Rickman one of the greatest actors of our time passed away. There are so many of his films that had a huge influence on me and I am beyond sad.
In his honor I want to present you all my favourite Alan Rickman movies.

 

Dogma:
This movie is just hilarious. Alan Rickman plays the Metatron, the voice of God. He sort of guides the last person related to Jesus Christ on her crusade to save world, as two fallen angels try to sneak their way back into heaven. This movie is not only funny and stuffed to the top with great actors, I also love that you can see how much time Kevin Smith spent exploring Catholicism to make everything accurate.

One Week of Christmas: The 7 Best Movies for the Holidays Part 2

The second movie that is inevitable for me during Christmas time is Love Actually. To be honest, this usually is absolutely not the kind of movie is liked to watch. Normally I’d try to forgo such romantic comedies. But a few years ago I crashed into this movie and since then it has become a firm part of my holiday routine.

The Plot:

The story revolves around several love stories. One couple for example meets at the set of a porno movie. They work as body doubles and fall in love. Another story is about the Prime Minister (played by Hugh Grant) who falls for a girl who has just started working in his office. We have a sad and heartbroken writer who likes his new housekeeper but can’t talk to her as she only speaks Portuguese. And many more 😉
