Hello, hello! I have another horror movie for you this month. After hearing quite a lot about The Babysitter I basically clicked on it by accident when browsing Netflix. Let’s find out whether it was a happy accident. 😉
The Babysitter, directed by McG, follows Cole (Judah Lewis), who is madly in love with his babysitter Bee (Samara Weaving). She’s cool and awesome in all the ways Cole is not. One evening while Bee is babysitting, Cole witnesses the unthinkable. Now he must survive a night full of first kisses, first broken hearts, and first encounters with homicidal maniacs (played by Bella Thorne, Andrew Bachelor, Robbie Amell, and Hana Mae Lee).
Oh my, this was something. I know quite a lot of people were hating on the movie but I found it rather enjoyable! That is if you treat it as a hilarious take on the genre instead of watching it as an earnest horror film.
Hello, hello! I might have been a tiny bit infatuated with Sebastian Stan after watching the MCU movies. When I found an interview with him talking about that film I decided to check it out for myself, even though I was aware that it would probably suck. A lot.
Was there even a plot hidden somewhere? The Covenant features some power-hungry high school boys who come equipped with special powers thanks to their ancestry…
I am sorry, Sebastian but this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life. The rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 4% and now I know why.
What can I even say? There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this film at all. It was meant to be a serious horror movie but I kept laughing the whole time through.
Hey guys! It’s October, the month of Halloween. The only way to kick it off is by checking out some horror movies. So let’s take a look at The Conjuring!
The Perron family movies into a new home. However, their happiness is only shortlived. Some entity starts haunting and hurting them. Will the demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren be able to save the Perrons?
I’ve seen my fair share of horror movies. And as far as the whole haunted house stuff goes, The Conjuring isn’t too bad. It’s certainly not the most frigthening or innovative film out there but it pretty decent. I really liked Vera Farmiga’s performance as Lorraine and also the actresses who played the kids did extremely well.
The film features a nice amount of creep and you will jump several times. To be honest, I hadn’t expected it to be this good.

To continue my series of Halloween posts, I recently watched a rather weird supernatural horror movie named It Follows. This 2014 film had been on my list for quite some time, but was it really worth checking out?
It Follows is basically about some supernatural entity that follows and kills you after sex. The only way to escape is to have sex with someone else. This way the entity is passed on and pursues the next one. Sounds weird? Believe me, it is. Continue reading →
