Top 5 Tuesday: Books set in Space

This week, I’ll share some great space-themed books with you!

#1 The Martian:

This was the first thing I thought of when I read this week’s topic! The Martian is the super fascinating tale of an astronaut who is left behind on Mars and has to survive on his own. There’s also a really good movie adaptation starring Matt Damon!

#2 The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy:

In terms of all-time favorite space stuff, The Hitchhicker’s Guide to Galaxy needs to be mentioned. There’s a reason Douglas Adams’ novels are so famous. I love his humor, the book is hilarious!

Book Review: Cress by Marissa Meyer (Lunar Chronicles #3)

After finishing Scarlet, I couldn’t wait to get started with the next installment in Marissa Meyer Lunar chronicles. So, let’s see whether Cress is just as good!

The Plot:
So far, our two storylines from Scarlet crossed paths and melted into one. However, shortly after Scarlet, Wolf, Cinder, Iko and Carswell continued their adventure together, we are introduced to someone new: Cress. She’s Queen Levana’s IT specialist, who can hack everything and surveils basically the whole earth for her. So how is she involved in this upcoming revolution? What side will Cress be on?


The Rating:
As usual, Marissa Meyer loosely based her story on a fairy-tale. This time, she was inspired by Rapunzel. You have no idea how creative Meyer is with the topic and delivers something completely new and fresh. She really is the only one how is able to pull off fairy-tale retellings! Continue reading
