Hello, hello! With today’s movie, we moved to the 2010s. So all other reviews this month will be of quite new productions. Anyway, now I want to talk about Cabin in the Woods which was a big surprise for me!
A group of teenagers gathers in a cabin in the woods for a weekend full of fun. Sounds familiar? Well, what happens next does not…
I tried to keep the plot description as vague as possible. When I decided to watch this film, I didn’t know anything about, I hadn’t seen the trailer or read an outline. That’s exactly why the movie was such a big surprise for me! I want you to have the same great experience. 😉
The next paragraphs will contain light spoilers, so beware in case you read on. For those who want to go spoiler-free, let me just tell you Cabin in the Woods is a smart, funny and fresh film that I can definitely recommend!
Hey guys! The end is already in sight. Only two more films to watch after this before we can tackle Avengers: Endgame. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Today we talk about Ragnarok, the final Thor solo movie (so far)!
Siblings can be such a pain in the ass! Thor already has his hands full with Loki when another “blast from the past” enters the picture…
After the second Thor movie was a bit of a miss for me, I dialed my hopes for Ragnarok down. Turns out, the film was actually a pleasant surprise!
Thor Ragnarok is one of the funniest MCU films so far. The humor is absolutely great and many of the introduced characters are hilarious (e.g. Jeff Goldblum’s character. The banter between Thor and Loki is off the humor charts. You might remember the “We need help” scenes, which had me in tears from laughing too hard.
Hello my lovely readers!
It’s time for a movie review and I chose a good one for you today 😉 Rush was one of THE films of 2013 (yes, I’m a bit behind with catching up), so let’s check it out!
In Rush, Ron Howard chronicles the legendary rivalry between the formula 1 drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt. From the moment they first met until Lauda’s terrible accident and the aftermath, we get a round picture of the racing scene and the two very different men.
I have to admit, I never cared for formula 1 – not even the slightest bit. So I wasn’t quite sure about this movie but decided to give it a chance anyway.
Well, Ron Howard managed to impress me! In general the film was very exciting, entertaining and touching. It features some racing scenes but just enough to make the whole thing more interesting without including too much and making it boring. Despite the length of over 2 hours, you’ll still be holding your breath several times and won’t even notice the time passing by. Continue reading →
