Book vs. Movie: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Chronicles of Narnia #3)

Hello guys!
As you probably read by now, I’m reading my way through the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. Finally I also found the time to check out the (so far) last movie adaptation that was made. It’s The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the third installment.


The Plot:
Lucy and Edmund are pretty annoyed: they have to spent the summer with their rather awful cousin Eustace. An adventure seems to be at hand, when the three kids get sucked into a painting and find themselves on board of the Dawn Treader, Caspian’s ship.
As it turns out, the young king is searching for seven lords that had been sent into exile by his uncle. Of course the Pevensie kids are stoked to help, but what about Eustace? Continue reading

Book vs Movie: Prince Caspian (The Chronicles of Narnia #2)

Hello Hello!

As you might remember, I wrote a Book vs. Movie post on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe some time ago. As I really enjoyed both the novel and the adaptation, I immediately kept on reading. Well, but due to the fact that I’m currently reading three different book series at once, I completely forgot to write a post on Prince Caspian!
But is it even as good as the first installment? Let’s find out!


The Plot:
The Pevensie children returned to their normal lives. The time in Narnia almost seems like a dream, until one day the kids get a strange feeling. Something is pulling them back to Narnia. To their shock they discover that centuries have passed since they left and the Narnia they used to know is nothing but a fairytale.
Soon before long Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy find out that it was Prince Caspian who called for them. He’s a young man, betrayed by his uncle who wanted the throne to himself. So the Pevensies team up with Prince Caspian to free the old Narnian people. An epic battle is about to be fought… Continue reading
