Top 5 Tuesday: books with shields

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This week we’re going to tackle some beautiful cover with shields!

#1 Woven in Moonlight

Tell this book cover is not absolutely adorable?! I still need to read the second installment in the series but Woven in Moonlight really was an interesting read – and a great fit for this week’s topic!

#2 King of Scars

Next up we have King of Scars. I think by now everybody and their grandma knows that I love Leigh Bardugo’s books, so it’s no surprise that I have it on this list.

#3 Wonder Woman Warbringer

To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of the DC Icons books, but out of all of them, Wonder Woman Warbringer was definitely my favorite. (Maybe that’s because Leigh Bardugo wrote it…)

#4 Furyborn

This book has been living on my tbr for a while. The story sounds fascinating and the cover is nothing short of gorgeous. I just love how this actually fits the theme for three T5T posts this month: crown, shield and sword!

#5 Dreamsongs

I have a confession to make: I started reading this but never finished. Dreamsongs is a collection of short stories by George R. R. Martin. While I really enjoyed those stories, this collection is *very* long. I swear I’ll get back to it eventually!

What’s your favorite book with a shield on the cover? Let me know in the comments!
