Top 5 Tuesday: rainy day reads

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Today we’re talking about some books that are amazing rainy day reads – or that I at least expect to be!

#1 Frankenstein

This just has to be a perfect rainy day read, considering that Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein when she was trapped inside during a vacation in Geneva due to abysmal weather!

#2 Death on the Nile

I don’t know why but something about rainy days screams murder mystery to me. I’m curious about the new movie adaptation that came out recently but before watching that I’d love to read Death on the Nile!

#3 The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein

Speaking of Frankenstein, I’ve had The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein on my tbr pile for ages. If the OG Frankenstein makes for a great rainy day read, I’m sure this one does too!

#4 Rebecca

There is something about this book, the main vibe I get from it, that just demands you read it curled up on the couch wrapped in a fluffy blanket with the rain drumming on your windows.

#5 The Fellowship of the Ring

This might be a tiny cheat, but the Lord of the Rings movies are a rainy day go-to for me. I’ve been meaning to re-read the novels for quite a while now, so maybe during the next rainy day I pick up the first one!
