Top 5 Tuesday: books with a holiday

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This month we kick Top 5 Tuesday off with some books that feature holidays. Because I am not very creative and this was all I could think of, I ended up doing a theme within the theme and chose only Christmas-related books!

#1 Let it Snow

This was the first novel I thought of. You might have seen the Netflix movie which was decently charming – as did I. So I figured, I’m sure the book is nice too, right? Oh boy, I ended up hating this, I am so sorry. I’d love to know how some of you guys feel about the book if you have read it – maybe I’m alone with my dislike. 😅

#2 NOS4A2

Next up with have a novel that I loved. In NOS4A2, the creepy, somewhat vampire-inspired antagonist has a thing for Christmas. So much so, that he created “Christmasland” a place where he brings children he kidnaps.

#3 A Christmas Carol

In my mind, this is the OG Christmas read. I have read the book, seen several movie adaptations, and even a theatre version. Let me know which adaptation is your favorite, mine is the Muppets one. That is hands down the best and that’s a hill I’m willing to die on. 😅

#4 The Polar Express

I haven’t actually read The Polar Express yet, but I’ve seen the movie which was decent enough. I always meant to pick up the book but somehow I just still haven’t gotten around to it yet.

#5 Yule Log Murder

As I was gathering books for this week, I was browsing Goodreads and came across Yule Log Murder. Apparently, it’s the 25th book in the Lucy Stone series – which I had never even heard of before. The story sounds intriguing enough and I love the cover art!
