Hey, guys!
Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme.
Today we’re going to talk about some films featuring mazes!
#1 Maze Runner
When I read the topic, the first movie I thought of was maze runner. I did read all the books and watched the entire trilogy of films but ended up rather disappointed with both, if I am honest.
#2 Pan’s Labyrinth
Pan’s Labyrinth on the other hand is an impressive film that is simply stunning.
#3 Labyrinth
To finish off the post I just have to include Labyrinth, which is so famous, it surely will be on many lists this week. Can you believe that I’ve never seen it, though?
What’s your favorite film about mazes? Let me know in the comments!

We match on Pan’s! I thought of all these picks too, but chose differently.

I only read the first Maze Runner book, before seeing the movie. It didn’t really impressed me so I didn’t bother reading the others. I did watch all the movies (since movie watching takes a lot less time than reading books). I think they tried their best to bring that world to the screen, but I don’t think it had a story that really drew people. I’m surprised they managed to even make three movies. I know there were four books, so were they able to actually do a proper conclusion with just the three movies?

I actually just went to have a little look on Goodreads, and apparently there are like 5 books and some in between stuff – I didn’t even realise that. I only read the first three and those did kind of conclude their story. Ngl, if it hadn’t been for writing the book vs. movie posts I did, I probably wouldn’t have bothered reading book two and three, I really wasn’t impressed.

I haven’t seen The Maze Runner but love Pan’s Labyrinth which I think is one the best films. We Match with Labyrinth which you need to see. I love that they chose the artist Escher for that stairway sequence.
