Thursday Movie Picks: Time Loops

Hey, guys!
Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme.
Today we’re going to talk about some movies featuring time loops!

#1 In the Mouth of Madness

The first thing that popped into my head (other than Groundhog Day which I won’t include because I expect everybody else to) was In the Mouth of Madness. It’s been a while since I’ve seen this film but it does feature a loop like that!

#2 Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

I had such high hopes for this movie but was quite disappointed. The books are amazing though and the particular time loop feature in this story fascinated me, so it still deserves a place in the list!

#3 Happy Death Day

I watched this movie for the first time quite recently. I hadn’t known a thing about it and it really came out of left field for me. Happy Death Day was so much more enjoyable than I had anticipated!

What’s your favorite film featuring a time loop? Let me know in the comments!

  1. In the Mouth of Madness is a film that will continuously be considered as one of the most underrated films ever as I think it is the last great film John Carpetner ever made and with one of the greatest endings ever. It is purely genius film. I also enjoy your other picks as I thought Miss Peregrine was an alright effort from Tim Burton whose 2010 efforts are hit/miss.

  2. I have never heard of the first one which I may see one day but it looks scary. I have heard of the other 2 but never felt much pull to see them but now I do. Many people have chosen Happy Death Day often and Miss. Peregrine seems like a good one to see finally even if you didn’t care for it.
