Welcome to another entry for Thursday Movie Picks.
It’s a series hosted by Wandering Through the Shelves, so if you want to join the party, head over to her blog! It’s pretty easy: check out each week’s topic and come up with 3 to 5 movies that fit the theme.
Today we’re gonna talk about non-English language movies. It did a little theme within the theme and went with French productions only!
#1 La Mariée était en noir (The Bride Wore Black)
This movie has some serious Tarantino vibes (even though he claims he doesn’t know it and Kill Bill wasn’t inspired by it).
#2 L’Été meurtrier (One Deadly Summer)
I remember stumbling across this randomly on German TV. It’s a really interesting movie and Isabelle Adjani is stunning in it.
#3 À bout de souffle (Breathless)
I actually had to watch this one for a class as University once. It’s another intriguing film and kinda got me into Jean-Luc Godard movies!
What’s your favorite film that’s non-English? Let me know in the comments!
