It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This month is all about hyped books and today we’re kicking it off with some hyped novels that I ended up loving!
#1 Six of Crows
I was *very* late to the party for all the Leigh Bardugo hype. But the Grishaverse novels in general and Six of Crows in particular kept popping up again and again on all social medias. So, at some point I caved in and binge-read pretty much everything Bardugo ever wrote. Guess what, I ended up loving it!
I wasn’t a GoT fan from the beginning. In fact I figured this is probably overhyped so I didn’t watch the show. Then a friend who was very enthusiastic about the whole thing convinced me to check it out. That was a couple of months before season 4 came out. Well, after binging seasons 1-3, I was hooked and immediately picked up the books. Loved them! I just wish Martin would finally hurry up and and finish the next novel!
The Raven Boys came to my radar after I saw it mentioned on *many* T5T lists. The story had me intrigued from the get go, and to be honest, there was no question as to whether I would end up loving it!
So, I originally discovered Sarah J. Maas via the ACOTAR hype (we’re going to talk about that in a different post). From that I kind of seguewayed to Throne of Glass, which was probably equally hyped. Long story short, the entire ToG series was impossible for me to put down.
Cinder is another book I saw popping up on blogs, reviews upon reviews of it in my feed. The cover alone drew me in, so without even too much knowledge of the plot I dove right in. Loved it!
Which hyped book did you end up loving? Let me know in the comments!
