It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Today’s topic is all bout books you wish you could read for the first time again!
#1 Skulduggery Pleasant
It’s only recently that I finished the Skulduggery Pleasant series, but boy, what a ride this was! I loved it from the first to the last page. There were so many amazing plot-twists and surprises! I know I would still enjoy the books if I re-read them, but you can only get surprised once – I wish I could experience that again!
#2 The Raven Boys
These books completely enchanted and fascinated me! I was just enamoured with the characters, the setting, the development – in short with everything. Reading all the Raven Cycle books certainly was an experience that I’d love to go through again!
#3 Harry Potter
Not only do I wish that I could read the HP books for the time again, I wish I could do so when I was a kid. I know that I would have loved all of it so much and I feel sorry for little me for missing out on that!
#4 A Song of Ice and Fire
This one is actually here for a very selfish reason. I read all of the A Song of Ice and Fire books and liked them a lot. However, the promised next installment still isn’t here. By the time (if) it comes out, I will have forgotten most stuff about the novels I’ve read so far. Sure I could re-read them but it’s just a lot, so I probably won’t do that.
So if/when Martin ever finished this series, I wish I could just read it all in one go for the very first time.
#5 Throne of Glass
I absolutely devoured these books. Honestly, I read the entire series in record time. I seldomly get enrupted by novels to such a degree, but this was something else. I felt all the feels and cried my little heart out at times. Experiencing that again? I’d be down for it!
