Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Today we’ll cover some books that got me into reading!
#1 Fear Street
To be perfectly honest, I don’t recall exactly which R. L. Stine books I read. I had a very thick copy that was a collection of several stories! I’ve always had a love for horror! 😀 It’s entirely possible that it wasn’t even from the Fear Street but from the Goosebumps series. But that was 15 years ago, so no clue. But I do think it was from of the first scary novels I got my hands on, and I read a lot more after that!
#2 Come as you Are
I rarely re-read books, but I went through this one at least 5 times. Our school library had a copy I just happened to pick up. It inspired me to read some more non-fiction books and made me return to the library A LOT.
#3 The Hunger Games
I’m not sure if I would like these books were I to read them today. But back in the day when the first movie came out, I decided that I need to read the novels first and devoured them over a long weekend. I think this was the first time that I binge-read like that and not only did it make me read even more, it’s also one of the first things I ever reviewed for my blog!
#4 13 Reasons Why
Shortly after The Hunger Games, I picked up 13 Reasons Why which had my spiralling down the YA road even further!
#5 Heart-Shaped Box
This one was a gift a friend got me for a birthday years ago. I had read scary stuff and horror before, but this pushed me further into the more grown up areas. I read quite some more stuff from Joe Hill, Stephen King, and the likes!

I’ve read Come As You Are as that is an amazing book as it goes into great detail into Kurt Cobain’s struggles with stardom and how fame was overwhelming for everyone in that band.
