Top 5 Tuesday: Anticipated Books for 2021

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Today I’ll talk about all the books coming out in 2021 that I’m super excited about! All of them are sequels to novels I read in 2020. I need to know how those stories continue!

#1 Namesake – Adrienne Young

This one is the sequel to Fable, are fascinating story that conjured the most stunning images in my head. Moreover, it ended with the mother of all cliffhangers, so Namesake can’t come out fast enough.

#2 The Hollow Heart – Marie Rutkoski

The world-building in The Midnight Lie had fascinated me from the get-go. When I picked up the novel I wasn’t aware that it isn’t a standalone, so imagine my surprise when I got to the end and realized there’d be a sequel!

#3 Oculta – Maya Motayne

I read Nocturna only once, but I got two stunning (and optically very different) copies of the book from subscription boxes. Again, the world-building was amazing and felt quite unique. Motayne sucked me in from the first page on, so I am happy that the sequel will be here soon.

#4 The Last Graduate – Naomi Novik

A Deadly Education was one of the last books I read in 2020. Every single thing about it was excatly my cup of tea! The author ended things but dropping a SIGNIFICANT piece of information, so I need to know asap what’ll happen on that front.

#5 Reaper of Souls – Rena Barron

Kingdom of Souls was one of the most unique books I read in 2020. I actually ended up learning a great deal from it and found myself spending a good amount of time on Wikipedia afterward. The novel was certainly intense, so I’m beyond curious to see where the sequel will take us. Also, would you please look at this stunning cover art!
