Top 5 Tuesday: Bookish Resolutions

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a bookish favorites post. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
The first T5T post of 2021 will be all about bookish resolutions. I don’t really do new years resolutions but there are definitely some bookish things I need to work on.

#1 Catch up with my Subscription Box Books

I read so many other things in the last two years, that I barely got through half of my stunning books I got in subscription boxes. Usually, I end up loving the books I get, so I have no excuse for not picking them up sooner. Hopefully, in 2021 I’ll manage to get through a chuck of my tbr pile!

#2 Get all the Sequels

So, the thing is, many of the aforementioned books that I got in subscription boxes are the first in a series. Since I tremendously enjoyed every single one I read so far, I am excited about getting started on the sequels. For some, the sequels are already out and I have them waiting for my. For many others, the first sequels is supposed to be released in 2021. That means, my tbr pile will grow even larger, but I need to keep better track of these things.

#3 Stick to my Plans

Just about every year, there is a T5T post in January about all the books I mean to read that year. It never takes long before I get sidetracked and end up focusing on something completely different. For example, I meant to get started with Cassandra Clare for the longest while. Instead I read all Witcher books last year and already made it halfway through the Skulduggery Pleasant series. So, I really need to be more focussed and stick to my original plans. My tbr just keeps getting longer if don’t do that. 🙈

#4 Read Recommendations

A while ago, a friend recommended a book I am 100% certain I will love. However, I never managed to get around to reading it. I feel super bad because he was really excited about it. And I just know I will like the book once I get started. This year, I am dead set on tackling friend recommendations I get.

#5 Be more active on Bookstagram

I set up a bookish Instagram account a while ago and even link to it in every post. Unfortunately, I soon ran out of time and motiviation to keep updating it. I’m generally not big on posting on social media, so I really have to make a concious effort to share more stuff there. Please bear with my, I will get my bookstagram account back on track!
