Supernatural: Season 15 (The First Half) – A Review

Hey guys!
You know, I started watching Supernatural late in 2019. I had waited this long, so I could watch the entire thing without always having to wait in-between season. I figured, they’ll be done airing the final season by the time I catch up.
…And then COVID 19 hit and my beautiful plan was for naught. Anyways, let’s talk about what already aired of Supernatural’s 15th and final season!

The Plot (according to Rotten Tomatoes):

Sam, Dean, and Cass are left to save themselves and the world one final time. But this time they aren’t just up against any old monster. This time they have to take on God himself, and that guy is pissed af.

The Rating:

We’re not even done with the season and I’m already feeling all the feels.
There’s so much going and I was prepared for sacrifices to be made but those still hit me hard.

So far, the season is super intriguing. The story is well-written and promises to be a worthy end to 15 years of saving people and hunting things.

Even though we are not all the way done yet, they already managed to squeeze in a good measure of character development. This shows me once more that after some wonky seasons in the middle, Supernatural really found its groove and what it excels at.

I am somewhat sad, that the show will end soon, but at the same time, I’m also happy. The show goes out with a bang and while it’s still on top instead of continuing for another 15 seasons that at some inevitable point will turn bad.

I can’t wait to find out what they have in store for us with the grand finale. Jensen Ackles already mentioned in an interview that it will be really emotional and his character Dean will have a full-on cry moment. And I don’t mean the “single tear sliding down his cheek” aesthetic version of crying but the ugly, snotty, bawling version.
Maybe there’s still hope for a Destiel moment as well – nobody ships those two harder than Misha Collins, so maybe we’ll get lucky.

Those 15 seasons were definitely a hell of a ride and so far, the final one seems to be a great ending. Now bring it on, I can’t wait to find out what’s still in store for us!
