Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan over on Meeghan Reads and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Continuing last week’s topic, today we’ll talk about amazing characters beginning with the letters F to J. This was surprisingly challenging!
F – Frankenstein’s Monster from Frankenstein
So, I haven’t actually read the book yet. It’s been on my list for ages but I’m familiar with Frankenstein’s Monster from countless movie and theatre adaptations. He is such an interesting character I’ve always been fascinated by.
G – Guinevere from the Camelot Rising Books
I read the first book in this series, The Guinevere Deception, recently after I had won a giveaway hosted by none other than Bionic Book Worm, the original host of T5T. Well, I immediately fell in love with this Arthurian world. While we get many amazing characters, my favorite is Guinevere, who – I’m sure about that – has so much more in store for us in the next book.
H – Howl from the Howl’s Moving Castle Books
There is a post coming up soon, where I talk about this book and the movie adaptation in detail. I had been familiar with the Studio Ghibli film, one of my most beloved animated works of all time. Then I found out on tumblr that not only is it based on a book. Oh no. Howl the super androgynous wizard is a Welsh rugby player in the novel in the novel. What’s not to love about that?
I – Irene Adler from A Scandal in Bohemia
This letter really gave me trouble. Irene Adler was the only character that popped into my head. While I thoroughly enjoyed the TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch, I never really got into Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes books. We meet Irene in one of those and she is pretty badass and doesn’t take shit from anybody.
J – Jude from The Folk of the Air Books
How could I not have included her? I positively devoured Holly Black‘s books and Jude immediately became one of my all-time favorite characters. She’s amazing and I want to be best friends with her.
Who is your favorite character with starting with letters F to J? Let me know in the comments!

I love Frankenstein’s monster so so much!!!! so emotionally rich and the writing style gives me absolute chills i think Frankenstein himself is interesting in the book as well, maybe not the smartest or coolest or most morally responsible person in the world (now that i’m thinking about it he’s a horrible dad to the monster lol) but still, such a memorable scientist.
And I can’t believe I forgot about Howl!!!!! I need to reread asap ❤ amazing post 🙂

I would also like to be friends with Jude… but mostly because the opposite is a terrifying prospect!! 😂
I also really need to read Howl’s Moving Castle (I’m sure I’m the last person ever to do so) and Camelot Rising!!
