Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah Bionic Book Worm and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Today, I’ll share some of the books I didn’t get to in 2019. My want-to-read list on Goodreads currently holds 233 books, so it wasn’t easy to choose!
#1 Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
I have quite a few novels from book subscription boxes that I just didn’t have the time for yet. Serpent & Dove is one of them. Everybody was so excited about it and seemed to love the book, so I’ll make sure to put it on top of my pile for 2020.
#2 Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Obviously, Frankenstein is a classic, so it has been on my radar for a long time. In October I watched one of the many adaptations and got even more curious about the book. Hopefully, I around reading it in 2020 so I can do a book vs. movie post!
#3 Hemlock Grove by Brian McGreevy
As I had mentioned in another T5T post, I had ordered this book a while ago, but the manufacturer seems to have problems so I still haven’t received my copy. It’s more than two months now, so I just canceled the order and bought the e-book instead.
#4 V for Vendetta by Alan Moore
After I had such a good experience with graphic novels this year, I stocked up when I went to Comic-Con here in Vienna last month. Among other titles, I got V for Vendetta but haven’t had the time to go through it yet.
#5 Any Book ever written by Cassandra Clare
At the beginning of this year, I wrote a T5T post on what I want to read in 2019. Well, I didn’t pick up any of the books I mentioned (except for one) but finally caught up with some other novels and authors I had on my to-read list. Cassandra Clare remains the one YA queen I still didn’t have time for this year but I hope that’ll change in 2020
