Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah Bionic Book Worm and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This week I’ll talk about some pretty famous authors I always wanted to check out but for some reason or other haven’t had the chance to do so yet!
#1 Cassandra Clare
This year I finally managed to catch up with most of the famous young adult writers. I read Sarah J. Maas, Leigh Bardugo, Holly Black. But one big name is still missing: Cassandra Clare. Her books sound fascinating, but there are so many, I was always a little intimidated to get started.
#2 Seanan McGuire
I recently started following Seanan McGuire on tumblr (she has a great sense of humor!), not knowing who she is or what she does. By now I realized that she’s a talented author and her book Middlegame immediately went on my TBR pile.
#3 Samantha Shannon
Now we made it to the authors I so often see in other book bloggers’ posts. I heard so many positive things about The Priory of the Orange Tree, I can’t wait to give Samantha Shannon’s books a shot.
#4 Amie Kaufman
Pretty much the same goes for Amie Kaufman. She wrote the Illuminae series and Aurora Rising. Unfortunately, those books are in high demand at my local library so I couldn’t get my hands on any of them yet. Anyways, she is an author I am really stoked about!
#5 Kerri Maniscalco
Finally, we have Kerri Maniscalco. I know that I am just about the last person ever to read Stalking Jack the Ripper. Honestly, I have no idea why I haven’t done so yet. I’ve actually read several non-fiction books about Jack the Ripper, so I got really excited when I saw this title. The novel is bound to be right down my alley and I’ve heard nothing but good things about Kerri.

Sarah J Maas for me. I’ve not ready anything of hers yet!

I’ve heard so much stuff about her, so I gave her a shot this year. I’m a bit ambiguous about her, but I’d love to read what you think about her books, should you ever check them out.

I thought I’m the only person who hasn’t read her yet!

Cassandra Clare’s a tough one! I read her for the first time this year and started at the beginning with City of Bones- which I think I would have liked more ten years ago and most people say she’s gotten better but everything is so intricate like you said where do you really start? Good luck!

I’m excited to check out her books but I’m also not 100% sure if I will like them. Maybe I’m getting to old from YA, so….
