Halloween Horror: Alien

Hello, hello!
It’s time for another horror classic. Alien is beyond famous and has sparked numerous sequels and spin-offs. So let’s find out what makes this film so intriguing!

The Plot:

What do you do when an Alian infiltrates your spaceship and there is nowhere you can go? The crew of the Nostromo is about to find out…

The Rating:

Similar to Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween, Sigourney Weaver also had her first big role in a horror film. And just like Curtis, she delivered an impressive and chilling performance that would spark a big career!

Alien is a claustrophobic nightmare that’ll give you the chills. Even the special effects are impressively scary considering that this film is forty years old. The pretext is alone to give me goosebumps. When I saw the final execution I was shooketh!

Just when you think it can’t get any worse, sure as hell, it does. Alien has so many frightening plot twists the films certainly keeps you on edge until the last moment.

The set design is also impeccable and together with the music, we got an iconic setting for the ages. For Alien everything just comes together like a charm. It’s one of the few films where I wouldn’t change a single thing. There even is a cat, so what more could you want?

Okay guys, if you haven’t seen Alien yet, make sure to check out right now. It’s one of the best horror films ever made and a cult classic!

  1. What makes Alien great is not the setting or the actual scariness of the alien but the outstanding direction from Ridley Scott than draws the tension out of every scene. There are also impressive performances from John Hurt, Ian Holm, Harry Dean Stanton and of course, Sigourney Weaver playing the original bad-ass sci-fi female. Still a classic after 40 years!
