Top 5 Tuesday: Fall Reading Recommendations

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah Bionic Book Worm and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This week I’ll talk about some fall reading recommendations.
Most of the books I mention in this post are from book subscription boxes. That means I had no idea I would end up having them. I already finished reading some of them, others are still waiting on my shelf. In any case, I am super excited about them!

The Beholder by Anna Bright

I recently finished this one. It’s the perfect book to curl up with when it’s raining outside. Add a cup of tea and get a splendid day.
Anna Bright drew her inspiration for this book from quite a few sources and you can clearly spot them while reading. She did a great job and – although I am usually not a fan of romance novels – I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Sorcery of Thornes by Margaret Rogerson

After I had finished The Beholder I picked up Sorcery of Thornes. I only got started a couple of days ago but I’m already hooked. The novel is about bad ass librarians, magic and dangerous, talking books. How could I not love this?

Nocturna by Maya Motayne

So, I ended up with two copies of Nocturna, both of which look absolutely stunning. I haven’t read the book yet, but the premise is really exciting, so I’ll get started with Nocturna soon. It feels like the perfect fall read!

Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

Descendant of the Crane is the last book subscription box novel I’ll mention today. I can’t wait to dive into this Chinese-inspired world as I haven’t read any books like that before.

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

I am super late to the party but I got started with the Raven Cycle a couple of weeks ago. I have two books left to read of this series and I’m already in love. I don’t know why I had waited this long!
It’s a perfect fit for fall, as for some reason I always imagine the things happening in the novels in front of some stunning fall foliage.
