Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Shanah Bionic Book Worm and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
For this month, Shanah came up with something very special. Each Tuesday I share my top 5 books beginning with the respective letters of the alphabet assigned for the day.
This is the second post, so we’ll talk about F, G, H, I and J.
F – Fairest
This year I finally caught up on all extra books that go with Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles. Fairest is a prequel that tells the story of evil Queen Levana. A fascinating insight into her deranged mind!
G – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I’ve named this book a couple of times now for different T5T themes. It’s just too good not to keep bringing it up. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is one of the most fascinating, intricate and smart thrillers I’ve ever read.
H – The Handmaid’s Tale
You probably know The Handmaid’s Tale from the stunning TV with Elisabeth Moss in the leading role. The haunting story is based on Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel. A must read!
I – It
If you care for horror books, there is no getting around Stephen King. So far, I’ve read a couple of his books and It is among my favorites. As the second part of the movie adaptation is coming out this year, it’s a perfect choice.
J – Jade City
This year I ordered my first ever book subscription box. Jade City was the novel included. It took me a while to get into the story but then I was hooked. Fonda Lee has such a unique setting a different take to offer, it’s definitely worth reading!
Can you name a book for each letter? Let me know in the comments!
