Top 5 Tuesday: Mind-Blowing Mysteries/Thrillers

Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Bionic Book Worm and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
Let’s check out some thrillers and mystery books!

#1 The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo:

This was such a fascinating thriller! I actually gobbled up the entire Millenium series within days. Lisbeth Salander is such a bad-ass character, I just couldn’t stop reading. The story was fascinating and peppered with plot-twist I certainly didn’t see coming!

#2 Gone Girl:

So, this book wasn’t one of my favorites but I know it’s wildly popular. Although I had my issues with the story, it certainly had some interesting and unexpected moments!

#3 The Girl on the Train:

Just like Gone Girl, this is a book from what I refer to as the “crazy bitch genre”. I’m not a fan of novels like that in general, so, unfortunately, The Girl on the Train didn’t really do the trick for me. The plot twists were a bit too predictable for me, but if you enjoy books like Gone Girl, you’ll also love this thriller!

#4 The Da Vinci Code:

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this week’s theme was “Dan Brown”! I read a couple of his books, The Da Vinci Code was the first one. It’s an intricate thriller peppered with lots of amazing art and historical knowledge. I spent so much time researching stuff from the book!

#5 Rosemary’s Baby:

I know that this is a bit more horror than mystery/thriller, but it’s still a good fit. Actually, Rosemary’s Baby is one of my favorite thrillers as it’s just so creepy in a subtle way. Amazing plot-twists included!
