Hey, guys!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s time for a bookish favorites posts. Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Bionic Book Worm and is quite simple: check out the topic and write a post with your picks.
This week, I’ll share some great space-themed books with you!
#1 The Martian:
This was the first thing I thought of when I read this week’s topic! The Martian is the super fascinating tale of an astronaut who is left behind on Mars and has to survive on his own. There’s also a really good movie adaptation starring Matt Damon!
#2 The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy:
In terms of all-time favorite space stuff, The Hitchhicker’s Guide to Galaxy needs to be mentioned. There’s a reason Douglas Adams’ novels are so famous. I love his humor, the book is hilarious!
#3 Cress (The Lunar Chronicles):
As you’ll know by now, I love The Lunar Chronicles. The entire series is very space-related but Cress hits the theme the most. The eponymous character Cress is stuck in a satellite alone in space and it’s brilliant! (and I adore the cover image sooo much)
#4 Stranger in a Strange Land:
Well, this is a classic in the sci-fi realm. It’s technically not set in space but it’s about a human who was raised on Mars and now returned to earth. I am not a big fan of the book (read why over here) but it needs to be mentioned for this theme!
#5 Red Rising:
Full disclosure: I haven’t checked this book out yet. However, I couldn’t think of any other space-related novels I have read. This one is on my to-read-list and seems really fascinating! I hope I get around picking it up soon as I’m very excited about it.
Which book set in space is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!

Well, I’ve read 3 of your 5, and had Hitchhiker’s Guide on my list, along with a Heinlein book too: Space Cadet. 😀

It’s one of his juvenile series and may be a little dated, but back when I was a kid, I loved this and Have Space Suit Will Travel and Podkyne of Mars, Red Mars and the like.
