TV Show Spotlight: 2 Broke Girls

Hello folks!
Today I have one of my current comedy favourites for you: 2 Broke Girls. It’s been running for 6 six seasons so far and there is no end in sight!

What is it about?
Caroline Channing’s life is shattered. She grew up as the daughter of a billionaire but now her father is in jail, all the money is gone and she is stranded and basically homeless. However, things turn around when she meets Max, a tough girl working at a diner. Soon the two very different women share the same dream: Opening up their own Cupcake business.

Why should you check it out?
It may sound like a cheesy story but ultimately 2 Broke Girls is one thing above all: relatable. You’ll be able to recognize yourself in both Max and Caroline. Furthermore, I’m sure everybody knows what it’s like to have a dream you work hard on. In a way I even consider the show a bit inspiring. Sometimes the jokes are a bit flat and predictable  but I’m prepared to overlook that as Kat Denning is just divine.
The only thing that annoys me is the side-cast. Many of the characters are big clichés that are emphasized more and more with each season. But if you are willing to ignore that and just go with the flow, you’ll love the show.

2 Broke Girls may not be the best sitcom out there but it’s funny show with amiable characters you can relate to. And you will end up with a huge appetite for cupcakes!
