Sweatshops – what it really means

I just watched something that shook me deep to the core. I still have goosebumps.
For the videos linked right here three Norwegian fashion bloggers were invited to go to Cambodia. There they find out what “bad working conditions” really mean. It is shown how the people in sweat shops work, what they are paid and how they live. They get to tell their stories
The young Norwegians try to living like the Cambodians and you can see how it turned out.

To be honest I never really thought about where my clothes come from and what it would mean for the workers there. But watching this videos sent shivers down my spine.

What enraged me at first was how ignorant the bloggers often seemed. Some of the comments they made are just, well go ahead and watch it. But in the end they finally seemed to grasp what is really going on.

I want to share it with you. Watch, feel, think.

The next time I consider buying a piece of clothing these videos will be on my mind. This is a topic concerning all of us. Although it’s not the kind of stuff I usually write about, I feel like I really need to get this out there.

Drop me a Line :-)
